Colin Farrell Opens Up About His Sons Rare Genetic Disorder

Colin Farrell opens up about his son's rare genetic disorder

Farrell, 46, has two children and shares his eldest son, James, 20, with former girlfriend, American model Kim Bordenave.

James was born with Angelman syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that causes delayed development.

In a new interview with The Irish Times, Farrell spoke about the challenges of raising a child with Angelman syndrome and how it has changed his perspective on life.>

Farrell said that he and his family are "very lucky" to have James in their lives, but he also admitted that it can be difficult at times.

"It's a challenging condition, but it's also incredibly rewarding," he said.

Farrell said that James has taught him a lot about patience and unconditional love.

"He's taught me to slow down and appreciate the little things in life," he said.

Farrell also said that he hopes to raise awareness of Angelman syndrome and help other families who are dealing with the condition.

"I want people to know that they're not alone," he said.

Farrell's interview comes as he is set to star in a new film, "The Banshees of Inisherin," which is set to be released in October.
